Admission Requirements

To get admission to VIT University for engineering programs whether it’s through VITEEE or VIT Vellore Direct Admission through NRI category, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria:

a. Nationality
Candidates should be Indian Resident or Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or OCI or PIO or Foreign Nationals

b. Age Limit
Candidates born on or after 1^st July 2004 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2026. The date of birth as recorded in the High School Certificate will be considered authentic.

c. Qualifying Examination
Candidates belonging from the reserved categories (ST/SC) or hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura, should have passed 10+2 or 12^th Std. or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology.

Candidates who have opted Mathematics should have passed 10+2 or 12^th Std. or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and should have 50% or more marks in Mathematics.

Candidates who have opted Biology should have passed 10+2 or 12^th Std. or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and should have 50% or more marks in Biology.
